Kuaiya Reaches 2000+ Nodes and 5 Million Users

On September 3, 2026, Kuaiya accelerator announced it had surpassed 2000 global nodes and 5 million registered users. Behind these numbers is a year of sustained infrastructure investment. For an accelerator, node scale and user scale feed each other — more nodes mean better experience, better experience means more users.

Kuaiya has self-built its node network from day one rather than renting third-party cheap nodes. This path costs more upfront but grants full control over link quality. Node count was around 1200 in 2025, expanding nearly 70% in a year.

1. Expansion Focus: Asia-Pacific and North America

This round centered on Asia-Pacific and North America. Asia-Pacific added 320 nodes across Japan, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan; North America added 210 concentrated in West and East coast cities. These two regions carry over 70% of Kuaiya traffic.

2. Experience Gains from Density

Doubling nodes directly enables "nearby access." When nodes are dense, traffic need not detour. Kuaiya reports average Asia-Pacific latency down about 28% and evening-peak congestion down 45% after expansion.

3. Serving 5 Million Users

Crossing 5 million users raises service demands. Kuaiya expanded its support team, cutting average 7x24 response to 45 seconds, and upgraded simultaneous devices from 3 to 5.

4. Real Case: An Overseas User's Change

Mr. Lin, living in Australia, previously saw 200ms+ latency connecting to China resources with choppy video calls. After the expansion added Sydney nodes, his latency dropped to about 90ms. "Calls with family used to lag; now they are much smoother," Lin said.

Similar feedback abounds in the community. User satisfaction rose from 4.6 to 4.8 after expansion, and the share of "high latency" complaints dropped 20 points.

Conclusion

2000 nodes and 5 million users mark a milestone, not an endpoint. Kuaiya will keep investing. Complete a free VPN download to experience the expanded network yourself.
